So with alittle less then a week left till the launch of the Nintendo 3DS we know fans will be getting their chairs and sleeping bags ready to go camp out for their 3DS. But who would have thought that the first people to line up would do so yesterday. Thats right this fan and his buddy are actually camping out 6 nights to get their 3DS.

Man I camped out twice (Night) to get my Wii. But six nights holy crap man that is dedication. It makes me feel almost ashamed to call myself a Nintendo fan. Heck their is very little way in hell I would camp out that long. Actually if their were only two units coming to my city for the first year, then yah I'd camp out. But six nights when you know that with a pre-order you could get one camp out free. What the heck.

I guess these guys must be doing it for the experiance because I can't see any other reason for doing it. Maybe I would at Nintendo World if I thought there was a chance of meeting Reggie.

What would it take to get you to camp out for six nights? Do you think this is an act of a loyal fan or is it insaine?

I only wish I had the time/lack of life to undertake such a feat of loyalty

Only times I will ever camp out is if A. Im camping... B a loved one is in the hospital. C. Im in line for food and supplies after a disaster

the guy could also spend 300$ and import one from JP... and to compensate, work for these 6 days (and likely make more money).

Real fans are going to buy the japanese ones and the US/UK ones, so that they won't miss on a game not imported to the US/UK

Also there have been a guy who camped for 4 months for Halo Reach , i don't find this to be a good thing, i mean its just retarded, and the guy lost his job because of it.

I camped one night to get the Wii mostly for Zelda though

That's crazy ;) He could have ordered it by courier and have it delivered on day of release ;)
