I voted pizza b/c im not too interested in either handheld. The NGP looks nicer but the 3DS will have some good games too.

I was leaning more toward the NGP, but when I heard that it wouldn't be backward compatible I changed my mind. Since I own neither a DS or PSP I want to go with the one that I could play DS or PSP games on. My vote is with 3DS now.

I will get 3DS when a pokemon game on 3DS released.

il end up with both of them, orig PSP didnt interest me as it just seemed like normal console style games but NGP looks pretty unique, ive also tried the 3DS and will be getting that also.

It's backwards compatible with the PSP games available on the PSN (PSP Go games in other words). Although they did show it running Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, and I don't think you can buy that one on the PSN yet, so who knows...

It doesn't have a UMD reader that I see. And I have UMDs...

Come on people!, would you want the ngp to have the umd reader? UMD was terrible and over time any games that are deserving will get arrivals on the psn.

I understand that you have umd's and they cost you money but just play them on your psp, or rebuy the ones which will no doubt be available on the psn.

UMD is slow loading, loud, battery hogging, and simply a space eater. UMD would be the one thing that would make me not want to get the NGP. So I am glad its not there, Im a little upset its not all DD (but thats just me)

as for the question in the op;

I think my money will go to the NGP, but I need to be sold on it at E3. What games will launch? Still too many questions.

However the 3ds is the most interested i have been in a Nintendo handheld in a while. The last gameboy I owned/own is the advance sp.

ngp. im not interested in 3d at all. however i will get neither because i think portables are kid stuff.

I can't justify spending more on a handheld than a console. If I were to get anything else it'd be a PS3 and maybe NGP when it'll be a reasonable amount for a handheld(£50-100). I am happy enough with my android as a portable device right now.
