Impressive sales by the X360 even with Forza 3 and Kinect Adventures missing from the list.  One thing that surprises me is how much less Resistance 2 did than the first game considering it was rated just as high as Resistance 1 (on average from metacritic.)

many many bundles. I'm quite sure Resistance 2 sold about the same as Fall of Man.

no resistance 1 was a lunch title, one of the very few actually good ones, stop trying to something out of nothing

sry to burst your bubble but that is a fact.

Resistance Fall of Man, Motorstorm and to a lesser extent Uncharted Drake's Fortune were heavily bundled.

Back in mid 2007 it was almost impossible to buy a PS3 without Resistance and Motorstorm in Europe.

http://www.pcwelt.de/news/PS3-Starter-Pack-Dickes-Playstation-3-Bundle-fuer-Europa-131783.html

I did some calculations I think back in 2009 or so. At least 1.5m units of each Motorstorm and Resistance were bundled. For Uncharted I think it was "only" around 500k.

And for the fairness, Forza 2 got bundled 2m times and Forza 3 1.5m times.

Ah ok, not as many people played Resistance 2 because they weren't forced to buy it in bundles, still surprised it didn't sell as well since the first one was highly acclaimed and other franchises like Uncharted, Halos, Gears, etc. all had sequels sell as much or more than the originals.  Is it not liked by players as much as the first?  Critics thought it was great on average.

I think it's way better than the first >.>

Not saying that Fall of Man is bad or average, but I wouldn't exactly call it great either. Good - yes.

Cool, I might play it eventually, by now for about 10 bucks it's not a bad gamble.

According to the rules of the forum. A console exclusive is a game that appears on one of the systems and the PC. So says the all mighty Naznatips. Now everyone shut-up

thank you!

cgi this is a cool thread in concept but its stupid that you count the pc games as exclusives, they are not. i have never owned an xbox, yet i have owned and beat L4D

u should make another thread comparring exclusives.

im not trying to be mean, but merely suggesting you should do this

Alrighty guys, the OP should be accurate. I added DoA 4 but didn't add Call of Duty 2 because it was also on PS2.

The Call of Duty 2 that was on 360 is a completely different game than Call of Duty: Big Red One that was on PS2.  Different campaigns, different developers, etc.

I don't get it.  There was a thread for true exclusives and there's this thread for console exclusives.  Those with a problem with this thread can go there.  Those with a problem with that thread can come here.

Splinter Cell Double Agent was completely different on the PS3/360 than it was on Xbox or PS2, but none of them would count as exclusives.

I guess..  It's like considering Final Fantasy 12 and Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings the same game.

my link confirms that instead of a pricecut like in the US, SCEE is shipping these bundles to ALL SCEE-territories.

You haven't provided ANYTHING that could debunk this (which is impossible anyway since it's the truth). Now instead of telling me that Forza was bundled for half a year (so called "holiday bundle"), which I already said in my last post, better stop trolling and come up with something that really matters.

btw. my calculations were based on VGC numbers and the dates when the bundles were actively sold, so they aren't imaginary in any way and just as reliable as everything else on this site.

Here said bundle (2007):

and another one (2008):

and actually another one (2009):

All official Sony bundles that went on for several months.
