Forums - Sony - NGP wi-fi for 250$ , 3G for 350$ ?

well i already know for international corporations

US price = 250

Australian price = 250000

This is probably an test to see if Ubisoft is going to do an worthwhile investment in the retail space or hit it out on the downloadable space. Because when new platforms launch its an great way to earn the quick buck even if the games bad (Ubisoft has some of the worst kinect games according to GT).

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Teenagers these days...

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

Are both Ninty and Sony trying to insure I dont buy their handhelds this Gen? I mean I kinda expect a higher price point from Sony after the way this Gen has been, but not Ninty. At this rate it will be 3 or more years before and if I pick up a new model handheld. I am a bit afraid to see what the next Gen home consoles are going to cost.

I thought he only saw the 350 price and overreacted, as so many people do on this site.  Spare me the vocab lesson.  He should learn to be more expressive, sarcasm doesn't translate well on the net.

yes agreed, as i fell into the same trap

$250 would put a lot of heat on Sony too, for the amount of loss they would be selling it at!

You wish.!

I'll wait for the iSuppli parts/manufacturing cost breakdowns, but I'm willing to bet it will be under $300 (for the 3G model), given the price of the iPad 2.

According to iSuppli, a 32GB iPad 2 GSM model (AT&T 3G) carries a BOM of $326.60.

Let that sink in before loudly declaring SCE "will lose their shirts" by selling them for under $349; with the above estimate, you'd sound foolish.

While a $249 price for the 16GB/WiFi model seems unlikely, it's not implausible either; no one knows what type of deal SCE has made on their volume parts orders with the only real unknowns being the A9 CPU and the SGX GPU.

$299 entry price; still most likely. But if they want to go $249/$349 for their two SKUs, things will get a lot more interesting.

in 1986 the original NES launched in the US at $200 for the hardware and $50 per game.

20 years later the wii launches at $250 for the hardware and $50 per game.

...i know gaming feels pretty expensive (and it is) but honestly gaming is cheaper now then it has ever been when you factor in the inflation that has occured over those 20 years.

Kitler has been a member on this site since 2007, I guess I'm the only one familiar with him and confident that he wouldn't overreact in such a way.
