Goodwork

Wow I just noticed that Halo Reach is having surprisingly sexy legs...moreso than I though was going to happen.

Halo should hit 8 million next and it looks like Alan Wake has passd the 1 million retail mark this week.

1
Alan Wake (X360)
Microsoft
0.58 0.05 0.37 1.00

to bad it took so much bundling for the game to reach 1 mill, its a pretty good game.

to bad they messed up bad in the development, it could have been much better, shouldve stayed open world and multiplatform.

i wonder if they will ever profit off it?

AW bundling is DLC card...

This makes the PS3 the first console for this week, good enough for me.

I'm amazed the Wii is doing this well.  Nintendo admitted that they have been ignoring releasing any major Wii games due to the 3DS and Pokemon launches.  In 2.5 months of 2011 here are big Wii releases (for NA):  Lost in Shadow and De Blob2.  That is just sad.

The HD consoles have had a bunch of big exlusives and non-exclusives so far:  LBP2, KZ3, Bulletstorm, Dead Space 2, MvC3, Dragon Age 2, and more.

It sure would be nice if there were some good Wii games being released too.

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

A little surprised that Xbox360 will not be on top of PS3 this week worldwide...=P

Killzone3 (PS3) > Bulletstorm(360)

who said shooters do better on 360

You're not serious right? You've just compared an exclusive well established game to a multiplatform new IP.

Reasonable numbers, will be interesting whether they're on par with NPD this month, last month was a disaster in terms of software and hardware.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

I noticed that adjustments were done affecting the last 2 months of sales. With these adjustments PS2 is actually tracking on par with PSP for 2011 in Americas. That's nuts! PSP is a dying platform here. Also it seems 360 shortages for Early January are more extreme now, and in general 360, and PS3 sales are scaled up for the last 2 months, and Wii and DS sales are only scaled up for February, bt scaled down a bit for January.

My estimate using Japanese Media create sales is PS3 sold 205k worldwide this week, and 360 sold about 183k worldwide. I'm surprised PS3 sales didn't drop more after Killzone 3's launch week, but the gap isn't too big.

Next week DS sales will be crazy with Pokemons release.

PSP has apparently been a dying platform in NA since 2 years now...its still not dead!!!!

I really wanna know what SONY is doing to PSP, I mean what life support system its on, if only we could keep humans alive like this!
