Since when has Wii been Japan's market leader?

Great job for 3DS. I guess they are still selling out of all shipments?
Good job for the Sony consoles as well.
Wii keeping its head above 10k consoles sold.
I wonder if PS2 will ever start outselling the 360 again on a regular basis?
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY." --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

with it's ~60% marketshare in home consoles it's more of a market leader in Japan than anywhere else ?

That was kind of expected, but damn, PSP is doing incredibly well!
Need something off Play-Asia? http://www.play-asia.com/
Looks like Wii needs DQX and Zelda to come out already to save it.
Was this 3DS launch week in Japan?

Amazing 3DS and PSP numbers! Big second week for 3DS
Good PS3 numbers and it looks like it's leading this year though maybe the Wii makes it looks better than it actually is... Still it has 2 big games this month and it looks like it will Japan well this year unless Nintendo surprise us
Great 3DS sales though it is extremely soon to draw any conclusion about the performance of this system. In my opinion not launching this system with any Nintendo killer app is a huge mistake though I could be wrong.
As always impressive PSP sales, decent PS3 hardware sales, and today is the last day I make a mention about the Wii abysmal sales since for me it is currently a complete dead system there.
Rest in peace Wii (2006-2011)
Dissidia: 012 (Duodecim) Final Fantasy tanked, in my opinion the first one was very poor gameplay-wise, Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity underperformed badly, at this rate it won't clear its first shipment out though it is somewhat justified because of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd and Disgaea 4 had a terrible drop (84%) it will end up selling just a 20% more than its predecessor which will be very disappointing for NIS investors, this company along with Marvelous is completely doomed.
Regarding 3DS software Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle sales are slightly disappointing, this series is in a clear decline, Nintendogs cats is starting to show legs and Samurai Warriors: Chronicles is the biggest surprise sales-wise, Super Street Fighter IV is doing good too, it will have no problem getting past 100k units an probably 150k.
