I am!

But I need to see more at E3. There's yet to be a bad pokemon game

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

@euphoria  you want a top down Zelda??? i thought they had those on DS, dont mean to be an ass, but it sounds like you just want to play the same Zelda games you've been playing with little effort going into making the games any different, why not just whip out your old systems and just play the old Zeldas, why spend money on "new" games with a shinier coat of paint??

I am only a little bit excited. I need to see more before I can get really excited. The impressionist art style is amazing (I just wish they'd go all out with it instead of holding back due to fanboy whining) but I know too little about the gameplay. We know the M will be used for better combat potential, but if the gameplay doesn't use it well than that will be for naught. We also don't know anything about level design (second most important thing after core mechanics) or if they can solidify the camera (third most important thing). Story I am simply assuming will be the standard Zelda fare of good but unoriginal.

@superadriank  you couldnt find OOT anywhere??? where are you from??? really im not being a prick but that game was everywhere, I tried to find places that didnt have it. it was rereleased twice on GC and is on the VC. If you missed it you simply werent trying hard enough to get it.

OT im intrigued. I rather Ninty try something new, especially with their old ass IPs and fail miserably than have them just do the same thing over and over again. Why even support the new games if they are just gonna be rehashes, but thats just me

I'm talking about the master quest, not the original OoT.

Excited? To be honest I am not.

From what I have seen, they showed the "typical Fire level" and the typical generic "green grass stage" thats usually present early on in the game.

It sounds dumb but the game looks too bright...I hate to go back to Ocarina for reference, but there were elements that were very dark. The town being ravaged by ReDeads and disrepair was cool. Ganondorf riding his dark horse through the flames and Shadow Temple painting trickery was good as well. I hope this game isn't some storybook good vs. evil type thing a la Epic Yarn, but with Link in it.

I do like the deeper combat though; hopefully they are focusing on that more than sheer puzzles. Linearity is what kept me from playing Twilight Princess more than once. Also, the return of EQUIPMENT & magic is a must. Gauntlets, Tunics, Air Boots, Din's Fire....all that good stuff that you DO not need to progress but can attain is great.

Until the story and villain are made clear, I will remain skeptical.

However most of OoT was bright and colourful. It was the contrast that was wonderful.

Edit: Also really looking forward to this game. Looks more like OoT/MM than the previous two console games.

@superadriank  Oooooohhhhhh!!! now that is a horse of a different color, yeah you couldnt find that bastard anywhere. I literally had to hunt down a copy of the GC edition and even then it cost me about 40 bucks, used.  yeah jump on that 3ds version if the master quest part is true

I was waiting for that Zelda game (and still do so)...but the trailer shown on GDC was not really a plus for me.

But I'll have to see it later then on my TV by myself...

Greetings to everyone around the world!!

I am. One of the best franchises ever created and my most favorite on consoles.

Well, I was pretty hyped when they showed that drawing a few years. Then the E3 trailer disappointed a bit, since they decided to use that art style, which just seems to have been made to disappoint people like me who thoroughly enjoy the more realistic look of Twilight princess or Ocarina of time.

But then that trailer. Saw it, and there went all my interest, and hell, I hate them now for ruining ( 99% possibility ) the Ze;da serie. Not only do they cram puzzles at seemingly every corner, they will cram them in the dungeons and the overworld, and as if having puzzles everywhere wasn't enough ( those bloody time wasters ), even the combat, which could have been THE redeeming feature of this game has seen turned into a bloody puzzle.

As much as I used to love Zelda, it seems this will do to Zelda what Metroid other M did to the Metroid serie.
