I do plan on getting DKCR this week and that will give me 50 points plus the post play survey will give me 10 more. There will probably be some surveys Nintendo will do that will give me 40-50 points.

If I buy the 3DS then maybe I'll be a platinum member.

I platinumed back in september i think.

Think I might need to buy one Wii game to hit Platinum...hit it easily the last 2 years because a video game store closed and just got rid of everything then, anywhere from 50-75% off. I loaded up back then and tried not to go over 600. Not quite sure how many codes I have left.

what does status do and do we have it in EU?

I don't know if you have it in the EU.

Basically if you get 600 points the equivelant of buying 12 Wii games (Survey's not included) then you qualify as platinum status. If you buy that many Nintendo products a year (DSi was 150 points) then Nintendo rewards you with a limited edition gift, something only Platinum members get.

The first year their was DLC for PunchOut that only platinum members could get, with the option of substituting for a Mario cap. Last year we got a small Mario character statue and who knows what we'll get this year.

I am at 340 points right now and have a 3DS coming. However I don't plan on buying any more Nintendo titles before June. My sister is trying to help me, I get to regester her Pokemon White and Nintendogs but I should still be shy about 50-100 points (Bad at math). I think if I have to I might consider buying Pilot Wings or Steel Diver, though I have no idea how Steel Diver plays.

Either way its going to be a close call for me, also in the UK you do get several very cool items that you can spend points on. So if I were you regardless of whether their are platinum awards or such I'd definatly start regestering!

I'm only 100 points away, and I'm assuming the 3DS will push me over the top. I haven't missed platinum yet, damned if I start now!

I don't think Im going to be platinum this year; again! I started strong with the first years as plat-status. But I was only a gold last year. I could have reach platinum status, but all of my money went to my new HDTV. Now with the 3DS comming very soon, I might not make it this time....again. I missed out on the mario figurines. If miss out again and they release sometihng really awsome, Im going to be so mad at myself.

Hopefully, if they will reward us with coins upon registering the 3DS, then I might have a chance. But that would  have to be a miracle. I only have 210 coins for this year!.

Platinum every year. I have 290 coins worth of surveys s aved up, so I'll be able to hit Platinum easily this year.

Do what I do and go to GameStop and look at their DS games. Open up the case and take out the Club Nintendo thing. Repeat. Leave.
