Well it all goes to motive doesn't it? What was the motive for making this thread? I can't be sure because the OP contained no additional comment. History suggests it wasn't with a positive motive, so either:
a. criticise VGC for having highly inaccurate sales figures for PS3 when the facts show that VGC numbers are not far off the mark; or
b. criticise the Sony exec for having a presentation with outdated sales figures, which is nothing more than being petty.
Take your pick, either of them is trolling IMO. I chose a.
Is there's an option c?

i would not call it being petty,
i would say hey need to work on their PR and unifying data they are giving the public about projects. this seems to be an ongoing issue at sony where the message from the company is not that of one voice. most of the time its best not to comment or put the numbers out to the public, rather then use old or information of questionable value.
if i were an investor this kind of screw up would bother me, it should not happen at a major corporation with the constancy it has happened form sony. they need to learn the no comment at this time response, and to have better reviews of data they give out to the public

It was an OK presentation. No hard figures. Pierre correlated Metacritic scores with sales data, and not Sony's user rating service (which would probably be far more interesting, IMO).
If you wanted a PSN sales presentation, James Brooksby from DoubleSix was FAR better. He gave a lot more sales data and hard figures.
And Pierre was impossible to understand, IMO.

i believe Sony has more consoles connected to the internet then MS with there 360
Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

According to the EEDAR presentation, that is correct. EEDAR pegged the 360 at 76% vs. PS3 at 80%.
However, they also said that X360 users, by percentage, buy content more often than PS3 users - somewhere around 46% to 40%.
