if still 1.5 or so it was I decided later but I missed the 10% (i think) margin of error... I lose.. to bad no ban bets huh? : )

on a side not, to reach 20 mil, the Wii needs another week like this past week. I don't think that's going to happen, should ~19 Mil by year end

It cant sell more than 1M next week, its impossible nintendo cant make 1 million in 6-7days.

People have been proving that (or at least giving very strong arguments supporting that) Nintendo was going to substantially increase supply during the holiday season. Heck, Reggie from Nintendo said so explicitly.

This is the chance for disbelievers like you to understand how holiday sales work.

I was off in NA (and Nintendo apparently didn't try for the 1 million Wiis a week thing) but it was made up by me being off in Others and Japan (I was surprised that they had enough supply to sell so many in others) so the final number is still within my prediction, nice.

I must say, now that most of the holiday sales (minus japan) are over that I am bloody impressed by Nintendo as a few months ago I wasn't sure that they would have enough supply to not be outsold by the 360/PS3 and while they were here and there they still are the definite holiday winners with the Wii joining the DS in the mile high sales club.

Given that the Wii was supply constrained this year I am wondering what kind of numbers they can pull of next year (though I guess I could just look at the DS: 2Millions in what week?! Inconceivable*!).
