Actually this is a paid database admin job.

Mondays are bad for me so Data Monkey is no good. The weekends would be better.

Could you specifiy more on the database job? It seems awfully simple that any normal DB Admins would be suitable for, yet we would be getting paid for it? What makes it so different then regular Database stuff?

User submissions to the GameDB have fallen dramatically over the past few months, so I think that's something to focus on as well. Perhaps some other form of recognition for large amounts of DB work than the point system (which isn't as effective as VG$, because of the wide range of ways to earn it, many of which are more efficient and easier than adding to the DB).

I think oliist is the best choice as head of DB if he is willing to accept the job. I would be willing to go for it if he won't, but I'm reluctant since I like the Monkey job better then the head DB since I'm more of a numbers guy.

I'm not too swuft on tech stuff, so I couldnt be much help for that position. I do look forward to changes to the DB though. :D

Anyone have any idea what happened to Nordlead or Talon? They just sort of fell off the face of the earth it seems.

About the Data Monkey job, what is it we would actually have to do?

I am at home for most of the time on Mondays now, so I could give it a try.

We DB's live dangerous lifes, over the years we make enemies with those we have never met. We are ticking time bombs waiting to explode...

Talon got a promotion in his "real job" and left. He's kept his admin status, though, which is good. He's too legendary to ever forget.

Nordlead...I could have sworn I'd seen him around recently. As in, since 3.0. However, I haven't seen him post for a few months at least.
