The Wii is the best Nintendo console

I think it is. 98 55.68%

I don't think it is not. 78 44.32%

Total:176

I do love the wii and considering price, wiiware, and backwards compatability it'll be quite a memorable console. However, library alone I don't consider it my favorite.

SNES, N64, Wii, GC, NES(I started on the SNES)

IMO the only established nintendo series that was best on the wii was super mario. Also, the pacing of games was far from the best.  Still, The wii has done so many things solidly, and third parties have brought games that are far different from the competitors.

Wii for sure is the best ninendo consoels for several reasons, it had games like mario galaxy, DKCR and metroid other m, it can play SNES,N64 and NES games aswell as others, it looks sleek and it has sold the most, and could be the first nintendo system to top 100M.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

N64 beats it out in every single way. The best Mario, the best Zelda, the best Rare games, the best Nintendo third party support, the best Mario Kart, the best Smash Bros., the best controller, the best Star Fox, the best Paper Mario and the best kart racer in the history of the genre (Diddy Kong Racing), the best console Pokemon games, the best shooters on a Nintendo platform, the largest line-up up of new and innovative games and it came in the best looking colours. The N64 was fucking amazing, Nintendo at their prime. Then you have the GBC, the GBA, the SNES, the NES and the Gamecube, all those systems out do the Wii with ease, which in my opinion is their worst console.

Jesus, nostalgia just took me for a ride and I'm eyeing a Pokemon edition N64 right now on Ebay and I'm willing to jump on it just so it can give my original some company.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

That I could agree with. (Unless SHMUPs are included in the shooter genre, in which case the SNES takes it into town any day of the week.)

OT: Nice double negative on the poll there.

And I still prefer the SNES and NES. With or without VC.

Brawl is rubbish, Wii third party support is rubbish, the new Mario Kart is so plain and just screams bundle developed, the Wiimote is horrible for pretty much everything that doesn't involve some sort of motion control mechanic (it isn't even good for that), the first Paper Mario is the best and anyone who argues against Diddy Kong Racing being the best kart racer ever made has obviously not played it and has a scarce history with the sub genre. You can have Galaxy if you want, but when I first bought a Wii back in 08, I played it as a fan of the previous games and found it to be incredibly boring and only ended up playing it for an hour before returning it to my cousin.

By shooters, I'm obviously referring to Perfect Dark, Turok, Goldeneye and  Jet Force Gemini.

I didn't mean that the N64 is inferior to the Wii in those aspects, just that they weren't the best.

Imo, the SNES has the best third-party support, and the best controller, the NES has the best Mario, and the Gamecube has the best Paper Mario.

And I actually think that CTR is the best kart racer in the history of the genre. (But I admittedly haven't played a lot of DKR.)

You like ninja pandas too much. Kung Fu Panda is probably your favourite movie.

You like naked Asians too much. "2 girls 1 octopus" is probably your favorite movie.

Wait, what does this have to do with the thread again?

I love the Wii since it brought me back to consoles.
Its new controls and arcade style are very appealing.

I'd only put it above the Gamecube, but that's not a bad thing. I've loved all the Nintendo consoles.
