Forums - Sony - PSP ?

Hello, think to the recent drop in price I am highly considering getting a PSP. I mostly just want one for the JRPG's However, I am also interested in buying some of the online PS1 games. I do have a problem though. I can not find out how you actually go about getting these downloaded games. I do not have a wireless router. Do you buy them from sony online then use a stick to put them onto your PSP or? I also saw where you can plug it into your tv?

There are a few ways to purchase the games from the PSN store and get them on your PSP:

If you have a PS3, you can purchase and download the game to your PS3, then connect your PSP to your PS3 via USB and transfer over the game.

You can download Sony's Media Go software ( http://us.playstation.com/psn/mediago/ ) which allows you to purchase and download games to your PC, then you can transfer the content to your PSP via USB.

Personally, I wish there were sort of Sony PSP game centers where you could instantly install and pay PSP games inside the malls or gamestop or game stores or something like that. In my country, PSP games can be illegally bought  from malls to cellphone repair shops. That kinda sucks but o well. Anyway the post above me answers your question.

yeah the media Go software would be the best Idea, other thing would be, to get to a wireless area, Im shure there is one in your town, in ours there is one in the center, and its free.

Check in with your psn acc and download them :)

Yes, that's exactly how I do it. MediaGo is easy to use and the perfect solution for people without WLAN.

Well, I did buy a new one PSP3000.  I also got a memory card and stuff. It seems though they do not have cables to hook up to your tv with that model. Not a big deal really. Anyways, Im getting to download that to my computer and check it out. Only game I picked up was Crisis Core. I figured it would be a good start and was only $10. Thanks for the info and the link.

If you guys have any good JRPGS you would recommend lemme know as I mostly only know the big series. Also, is there a pretty decent racing game? Not GT just a normal old Arcade like racing game.

Hm well I got it downloaded but everytime I try to visit the store it keeps saying timed out?

The YS games just released are very delightful, Lunar is HIGHLY recommended, Valkyria Chronicles,Persona, Cladun , and if you want some first party stuff then try PoPoLoCrois , Jeanne D'Ark and just a word of advice, SCEJ games are all great so if you see one with a Studio Japan logo in it, then get it!

also i recommend checking out Hot Shots Tennis, even thought its not exactly an RPG, well its Sorta is, but its very fun on PSP.

Why buy PSP when you're a Nintendo fanboy? not trolling just a question..

I trust no one, not even myself.
