I actually really enjoyed Prototype. It was just mindless violence and never pretended to be anything else.

It could actually be a brilliant game with a semi-coherent story, some decent acting and perhaps slightly more gameplay variety. Even ninja kicking helicopters gets old after a while.

I would give the original Prototype a solid 8. It wasn't brilliant, but it was a lot of fun.

I loved the first protoype, but after beating it I tried playing a second time but it was to repetitive. I gotta say however I am really psyched for the sequel.

I actually enjoyed Prototype much more than infamous, while I acknowledge that infamous is the more polish and sophisticated game, Prototype was simply to my style. It was a joy to feel like an invisible one man army and watch the military peons scream for backup, scream in fear and finally scream in agony as they die gruesome deaths in my viral hands. The story was also not as bad as some of the review make it out to be, and I LOVE the web of intrigue, it is a great piece of story telling. It took me ages to buy this game, but the sequel is now a day 1.
