Where else will you be able to play RPGs like Valkyria Chronicles, Demon Souls,FF13 Versus, Fallout 3 (and Nev Vegas) and tons of others?

If you haven't got a DS, I'll get a 3DS, since you can play both new games and old DS games, so you have a lot of great games you can buy... to get a ps3 is also a great choice but if you have an X360 already, you can already play a good % of ps3's great games.

I agree with what others have said... go for the PS3. The 3DS will only have a few good games on its release, and the PS3 already has an amazing library.

I would say get a ps3 and wait till the 3DS library grows or gets cheaper. Buying things at launch is almost never the best thing to do with any product. Plus they have a really sweet Killzone 3 bundle going on right now.

Happy birthday... And the obvious solution is to buy a Snes with a bunch of quality games, and the spend the rest of the money on an adventure holiday. You want to go mountain climbing, right?

Haha, strangely I would actually love to own a SNES as it is my all time favourite console however the mountain climbing part....

Thanks everyone! I think I will probably go for the 3D as I can get most PS3 games for Xbox anyway. That doesn't mean that I will never get a PS3, I think after I get the 3DS I will start saving for a PS3.

Well, under the system I'm proposing you can own one. And if mountain climbing isn't your thing, then why not another adventure holiday. Swimming with sharks is becoming quite popular.

Well I've already pre-order the Nintendo 3DS and I'd highly recommended that you go forward with picking up the Nintendo 3DS at launch. Although the launch library isn't as strong as some would have wanted it to be I think it's still solid. 

Two of the best launch titles are Cave Story 3DS and Super Street Fighter 3D Edition. 

I'm sure that in April there will be even more great titles that Nintendo hasn't yet acknowledged. 

If I were you I wouldn't pass up the Nintendo 3DS at launch. This is a revolautionary device and it's great to be apart of something like this in the dawn of it's launch.
