Forums - Gaming - So how do you like Marvel vs Capcom 3?

I like it, I am really impressed with what they have done with Taskmaster, X-23, Superskrull, Dante and Wesker (Wesker is a fuckin beast lol). The only real issue I have is that returning characters don't have the same controls (Spider-man, Captain America, Wolverine...basically any character in MVC2) and that bugs me beacause I went online thinking "I'm gonna kick some ass" and had a nasty surprise when I tried to do my usual Spidey/Cap combo sooo yeah, not a fan of them messing with returning characters lol. They also made storm a noob weapon, people will fly up in the corner and just use her wind attacks...Dante's jam session takes care of that though.

I like it, though I'm still not brave enough to play against random people yet.

I played with a friend for an hour or two last night and after achievement farming we had a lot of fun.  My only problem was he picked Chris, Iron Man, and Hulk while I would usually have Ryu, Wolverine, and Phoenix/Super Skrull so he could just range me to death.

He'd sit at the corner of the screen and range me with Chris and Iron Man until I got close and then he'd pound me with Hulk and there wasn't much I could do.  In the off chance I would catch up to him and he'd keep Iron Man and Chris in, I could destroy him since I'm a little better at combos than he is, but man, it sucked.  It sucks even more I haven't found a range person other than Phoenix that I like (and Phoenix is way too fragile for someone that sucks as much as me right now).

I think it's fantastic.  Gonna spend me a good few hundred hours in this game.

Good, though I'm disappointed with how easily wesker can be countered if they know how he is played. His teleports are so predictable it hurts. it's too bad because I love his combos.

Now my group is Deadpool, Hsien-Ko and Superskrull, instead of Dante, Deadpool and Wesker. Also, if anyone has the 360 version and wouldn't mind showing someone how to play the game right, that'd be helpful :p

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I like it well enough but I doubt I'll play it as much as I played SFIV or SSFIV.

Aboslutely fantastic.

Only real gripe is the lack of modes.
Well maybe also a nice outro for each character. 2 comic pages isn't exactly what I call exciting.

Hoping for lots of good DLCs.

Yeah, the arcade ending really is just lame.  The Tron Bonne made me laugh a little, but so far they have all been a ilttle upsetting.  I said it in another thread but the only way to really describe them is half-assed.

I would be a lot more forgiving on them if there were more to the game but the general lack of content (not characters, just overal lack of stuff) is a bit of a let-down.

At least it has endings. I'm looking at you, highly overrated, Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

I agree.

I bought it earlier today, and only put it down like half an hour ago, did a 6 hour session nonstop, it's a bloody amazing game, the best fighting game since the second to be honest...

And to be honest with you, Wolverine has the same movesets, and controls, he's part of my team, along with Deadpool and either Dante or Captain America, seriously it works out so well, I'm pretty much invincible, and it's a shame I can go through all three of the enemies on Hard mode (Not done Very Hard yet) with just Wolverine since I'm great with him, he does amazing burst damage, as soon as the fight starts and you can attack, I've already taken like 3/4 of their health off in one big barrage of attacks (Berserker Barrage followed by an uppercut followed by a launch attack and knock them back down to the floor)

At first I was a little disappointed with Deadpool, since it seems one of his ultra attacks only works on females (The one where he beats them down with his healthbar), since it does NOTHING to mle characters (He just keeps on walking up to them...), but once I realised he's amazing when you teleport around the screen using dash attacks, I couldn't put him down... his attacks aren't the strongest but he's really fast and I love a little humour while I'm fighting, lol...

you have to hit a button when you get close to them.
