Sonic = Boring

Kingdom Hearts = Boring

See I can that too. Lol second time I had to say this.

Bet with OriGin: Within 1 year Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be ahead of Mario Kart Wii (when aligning the one whole year from each region). 2 week ban from Vgchartz for the loser. Edit: Darn! Looks like OriGin will win.

Well if sonic games aren't that good then why do they sell well? Sonic and the Secret rings should get to a million sometime next year.

Who says they sell well? Sonic Rush is well regarded but isn't selling too well. Sonic on 360/PS3 basically bombed. Sonic and the Secret Rings is the best seller in quite a while, and it's not exactly impressive either, but a steady and consistant seller at any rate. Wii seems to be very good to Sonic.

But even Sonic and the Secret Rings felt like a very unpolished game.

Nevertheless Sonic sells on Brand Name if nothing else, blemished as it may be.

So much agreement with this post.

Secret Rings outsold STH on the PS3 and the X360 COMBINED. Right now, Sonic sells on brand name alone.

If Sonic Team would take the time to design a platformer, based on speed, 2D or 3D whichever one is easier/more fun, with no story bigger than "Robotnik's trying to build a Death Egg! Again! Go Sonic go!" they would sell a million copies.

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

Sonic games are average and Mario games are above average, yet since the brands were once rivals people still compare the two.

I agree with whoever said that Sonic does better in 2D just like Megaman.  Very true.

Sega is also experimenting what rpg does to sonic

Rhetorical question.

You can also try:
"What do people have against sloppy, boring gameplay?"

BONUS INSULT TO INJURY: the Japanese storyline is completely retarded.

No, Sega is experimenting to see if an awesome developer like Bioware can make Sonic good.

@ChronotriggerJM - with what you said about Sonic/Mario and their 'logical' fitting in their games, how in gods name can you play a game with a opposum and his robot buddy saving the universe :)

Quality for Life

I'm glad Sonic is in Brawl though...Brawl's a 2D fighter, and having Mario and Sonic fight in 2D like I wished they would in the old days is what I want.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

It's what I've been waiting for ever since Street Fighter 2: Mario vs Sonic, FIGHT!

Well that game was from the beginning set in space :P Featuring many types of alien characters (opposum or "lombax"), said lombax race is supposed to be technologically inclined usually having robot companions (clank), he's a character that has plenty of dialogue (see mario), a sense of humor that actually applies itself to most people (see sonic), and your reason for being in numerous different locations involves you going to different planets :P (which makes sense to me). Paired with good voice acting, humor that all ages can laugh at, and a decent platform/shooting element mixed into the bunch it ends up being a very good game :P Just because something's sci-fi doesn't mean it can't be logical or make sense. Ratchet does a fine job of both :P
