Mine, too (knocks on wood, too).  If I lose the ability to play PS2 games and such (just played Space Channel 5 Part 2 yesterday and The Bouncer the day before) in HD resolution, I'll lose my mind!

I assume Euphoria's daughter is the little girl in his avatar pic.  It that's the case, I guess I wouldn't be able to stay mad at her.  She's too cute!

My 60 GB is working fine, but  Ive noticed it gets more noisy when my brother plays gran turismo 5 sometimes, but ive never had any problems with it, hope it stays like that.

It's clearly a tough love relationship, you may need to shake it a little more violently this time to teach it who's boss.

I think the HDMI connection died.

My 80GB PS3 died a few weeks back. I ordered a new slim from amazon with the $50 credit. I couldnt be happier. I really like the slim. Smaller, lighter and the fan is quieter, plus the PS3 slim has buttons...for some reason I like buttons better, not sure why. My only negative, which goes for every PS3, is that there is NOT a USB prot in the back. Seems obvious that there should be at least 1 USB port in the back pf the system. 

PS3's are dying all over the place. I wonder what are up-to-date reliabilty statistics?

Try with composite cable then....When turned off, press and hold the "on" button until the second bip, to reset configurations.

I doubt anyone except Sony has reliable data on 60gb ps3 failure rates.

Bought component cables today from Gamestop for ~$10.

Using Netflix on the PS3 now. HDMI port is dead.

Disc still working too!!

Still gonna grab a KZ3 bundle on Tuesday though. I feel like the disc is going to get stuck in the PS3. After getting it to run games again I had Neptunia get stuck in there. It took a few tries before it finally decided to eject it.

Don't feel like having a GameFly rental get stuck in there.
