It was the new bundle, you know japan people just go crazy for the lastest color, without bundle, I can assure you it wouldn't have had such a huge boost.

The shortages haven't gradually been replenished though.  The PSP was still selling out even though shops were importing from the US and Europe.  According to Dengeki the bundle made up 70% of PSP sales that week and that there are still PSP shortages.  So people still bought the roughly 30k normal PSPs that are available each week in addition to all the MHP3 PSPs  You really think they would have only sold an extra 10k if they had a greater supply of normal PSPs when they've had severe shortages for the last 6 weeks?

Plus they aren't even the latest colors.  They released last year and it gave a smaller boost, despite it being late November compared to mid February here.
