this is great news, i love everything Steamworks. Now lets hope the game is good

It was bound to happen since Borderlands and Civ V were huge successes on Steam.

...I'm no longer buying the PC version :(

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

OK, no buy then no matter how good the game (though I still think it's going to be quite a disappointment).

I really hate how they always say 'supports' instead of 'requires'. It if 'supported' Steam, it would allow and not force the player to register the game on Steam.

Honest question:

how is this a bad thing?

I guess it will get long legs on PC then. Probably gonna become an evergreen title that millions of Steam users will get for $10 in a couple of years.

Love Duke, hate steam, dont know what to do. I feel like an ass paying full price for "content liscensing" and not to actually own a copy of the game.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I'm getting the game on PC anyways, now its using Steam its even better , every game should use that feature.

good! enjoy your inferior console port!

on a serious note, why? Steam is amazing! And Steamworks allows for push-updates, free content additions, achievement tracking, and cloud support. Even Sony is adding Steamworks to the PS3 SDK for this reason. Are you not going to buy Valve titles on the PS3 too because they will have Steamworks on them?
