Forums - Website Topics - Does this site employ fanboys to report videogame news?

The linkn is a little misleading. It says "Japan declares ps3 the winner of the console war" but the article really says " Famitsu: Japan thinks ps3 had the best line-up for 2010". Regardless of whether you think Famitsu = JP gaming or not or that the article was fanboyish or not, the above is my own problem with it. I dont like misleading links. there's a HUGE difference between the 2 statements. Afterall, even GFaqs (a U.S. site), had a similar poll and the ps3 won as well but I'm sure no sane person would create a link that says "U.S.thinks ps3 has won the console war"

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

well, news contributers are payed by views or so I heard, so I think it's normal that it's more tabloid'ish (especially the headlines), as they need to get more people to view their news

personally I tend to ignore the news here

Getting a rise out of the console fanboy community = quickest way for hits.

Console fanboys are the bloodline for the gaming media.  It's an unfortunate truth.

For jRPGs, I usually get my opinions from RPGamer or RPGfan.  This site is better than others as well for that.  However, most of the other media reviewing jRPGs are just getting their Halo / COD fanboys to give their opinions about said games.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Did this thread also cause articles to no longer have comments at the bottom of them to?  I see that went away.  I guess it makes sense, because that article now would have comments that don't fit.  I would of also suggested a rewrite, because the article is asking for people to express their opinions, which would be in the comment section below it.  Well, looks like there is no longer such a section.

I made a thread not too long ago and nintendo fans slightly beat sony fans. No statistical ties :P.

He makes awesome comics, too. If only I knew his username so I could continually bug him to make more.

Yes, Matt's comics are nice, but they're not Smeags comics.
