Killzone 3 continues to look unimpressive.Really looking like a pretty poor launch for an exclusive shooter.

Pokemon is a monster.

Gears of War 3 at number 3 with no launch date and still a long way away. Pretty crazy stuff.

I think Gears 3 will probably rape the other GoW games for FW and lifetime sales....seriously Epic has to really eff things up to make it sell around what the other one's sold.

Yeah I totally agree plus the Beta and everything will bring even more hype to it.  I think 7 million is pretty much guaranteed and while 10 million seems excessive its not out of the question.  I don't personally predict that it'll hit 10 but its certainly possible.

Yeah I would probably put my money on it selling around 8-9 million lifetime.

1.6m looks likely and 1.75m's a possibility for pre-orders. I see no reason why this should have a substantially smaller pre-order to sale ratio in America than in Japan (I'd expect larger, really) so I'm betting on a 2.5m FW for Pokemon BW.

What were pre-order levels in Japan before Black/White's release again? Did it really end up at 1.5m there or it increased?

I seem to recall 1.62m from somewhere. It was in that ballpark, anyway.

Why only 20? used to be 30, and even 50 at some point.

I still think Killzone 3 will have a FW in the 450,000 - 500,000 range. Maybe a bit higher. But it should have no problems outselling Killzone 2's FW in the Americas.

Not looking good for KZ3, I remember there were way more hype just b4 Killzone 2 released, that could explain the low preorders  for KZ3 in NA.

Hmmm did they send Bulletstorm out to die on PS3? KZ3 is going to take all the oxygen out for the Bulletstorm launch on PS3. They would have been better to delay by 3 or 4 weeks because there's nothing I know of that's going to dampen 360 sales. The 360:PS3 pre-order ratio of BS is worse than the Dragon Age II 360/PS3 ratio and that's a pretty large pre-order ration by itself.

A game with equal popularity on both systems should have a 360:PS3 ratio of 1.63:1. Dragon Age's is 2.47:1 Bulletstorms is at least 2.54:1 and possibly larger. I can imagine 2 possible reasons: PS3 owners don't really know Epic very will so they aren't primed by their association with BS to get the game; or people who are likely to buy BS are also likely to buy KZ3 and they are going with KZ3 over BS in large numbers. Could be a combination of both.

There's not many games that really hit that equal popularity ratio. Most games are skewed to one sytem or another. Deadspace 2 was pretty close, slightly skewed towards PS3 at 1.36:1. COD Black Ops was quite skewed to 360 at 2.12:1.

I reckon anything skewed more than 2.63:1 has a popularity problem on PS3, and of course anything that actually favours PS3 (e.g. Mortal Kombat at the moment) has a popularity problem on 360. So I reckon there's a good chance of Bulletstorm not being as popular on PS3 as it should.

Mass Effect 1 being a timed exclusive on the 360 is what probably caused the poor dragons age ratio. It could also have to do with the fact that the ps3 has no wrpg type exclusives. So if you are a fan of these type of games you are going to have a 360 not a ps3. Sony has dropped the ball on certain genres this gen. I know alot of people like myself have skipped the playstation this gen because of the lack of certain type of games.

Dissapointed with KZ3 numbers.

And where the fuck is infamous 2 -____________________-

Come on Sucker Punch give us the special edition already.

Can I ask why?  To me pre Western release it looks like the most original mainline Pokemon RPG since the original.

KS3 numbers are disapointing and I hope they increase soon

I love pokemon to death but EVERY single time i beat it and grind till my hearts content i end up never touching it again. Pokemon blue was probably the first game i ever played, and somehow i played every single iteration  since then at launch. But not this time becuase i am too busy with other games is all, maybe in the dry summer months. Although, i recommend everyone to buy it because it might, just might, lead to an MMO one day. PLEASE GameFreak?!

KZ3 has more than 800,000 already who played the online beta. Most people are giving postive feedback, espically on the MP part. KZ3 will do fine, it will beat KZ2 with an opening of 800-900 K.
