I was in the exact same boat. Some of my actor nerd friends kept going on and on about Donnie Darko this, Frank that, yadda yadda yadda. It was just an incredibly average movie. Not noteworthy in any way. I can't say I hated it like you, but I just found it to be forgettable. Same thing with The Fountain. Okay movie, nothing stood out... but it was just hyped to the moon and back by the actor nerds so I was underwhelmed. |
Oh god so boring, nothing at all stood out!
The Black Swan is a godsend after that bore (same director made The Black Swan).
The High-School Musical trilogy, if I describe it in my own words then I will be banned for extreme hatred.

It's a shame that my top 3 most hated Film/Television franchises are American.

At school on the last day before the xmas holidays began we always watched movies during the 2nd and 3rd period.
So this time we decided to watch Final Destination 2 or 3..dunno its the one with a rollercoaster in it.
But I teacher thought the movie was too scary for us, so she kept saying, the class next door is watching High School Musical, so we should go n see that if we got too scared LOLOLOL
No-one except a few girls left our class.
*misses school people and classroom

No, it's logical.
Americans are known for making awful movies. Look at Michael Bay...

That movie was awful. The screenplay hides its soulessness behind snarky diaologue. The story goes no where. It is so boring and Jason Reitman is an overrated director.
