Forums - Sony - LG tries to ban sales of PS3 in America.

Consumer giant LG has been in a legal dispute with Sony over three of the companies patents were apparently breached by Sony both in their Bluray Player found inside PS3 and the Bravia TV's. Sony is also fighting back saying LG breached seven of their patents with several phones.

Both companies are expected to fight one another infront of the International Trade Commission as well as in California courts. Remember not to long ago Motorola tried to get 360's banned from sale in the US under similiar circumstances. While it is rare that a popular device gets banned it has happened before.

So better go buy your PS3's their a 1% chance LG will succeed and get the PS3 banned from North American retailers. I wonder if the court and International Trade Commission decided to ban the patented technology from being sold how Sony would use another technology to do the same thing. I wonder if thats even possible.

Lucky for us , no major device has been banned in recent memory. But its scary that LG is trying.

interesting but i doubt anything will happen since the PS3 has been for sale for heading to 4 years now in the US

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Quick, everyone. Rush out to buy 10 now and sell for massive profit later when they are banned.

If they really would become banned, it would be hilarious xD Nothing like that has ever happened before.

I LOVE ICELAND!

In the Country, where people get an injury reward from microwave manufacturers because there was no warning on the box to NOT dry pets in it (seriously, how stupid can ppl be?), Sony sure could have a prob. :X

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

Maybe if one of these cases actually resulted in a product being banned on both sides, companies will finally learn that they should stop forming a lawsuit web.
