Forums - Nintendo - AUSTRALIA - 3DS LAUNCH DATE AND PRICE

LAUNCH LINEUP:

http://www.ebgames.com.au/3ds

also the Americans paying the $250 does that include taxes? in other words what will your final price be at the register?

because whenI wa sin the US everything was taxed for me when I paid for it. So I always factored in about 20% on top of tag price.

The price is pretty much what I expected. I would have been surprised if it were less and not very surprised if it were more.  Will be pre-ordering, my very handheld.

What's this about the aus 3DS not having StreetPass and SpotPass?

If it's true then we'll have to pay an extra $100 for a system that has fewer features. Nintendo Australia... what are you doing?!

No, its just not available soon. I think they're waiting for more Wifi access points (6 months or so) before Spotpass or whatever is working. I assume normal Wifi play will work as normal from day 1 tho.

Ahh okay, that's good to know. :D Thanks for that.

HOLY CRAP!!! WELL I BETTER UPDATE MY POST DAMN IT

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Just going to bump this with a new Big W deal on right now.

Preorder 3DS, with no games or other shit, for $298 online.

http://www.bigw.com.au/entertainment/video-games-consoles/consoles/bpnBIGW_0000000268811/nintendo-3ds-aqua-blue-console?utm_source=Deals2102edm&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=Blue3DS

This is an excellent deal, but if theres any problem at all, I don't know when the initial shipment from Big W will actually happen. They don't seem to have mentioned it. DSE DID mention they would ship on the 29th or 30th.

whats GST?

goods services tax so 10% for us which is already factored into the price of an item.

goods and services tax, in australia there is a 10 percent on all things bar necessities. That might have changed, I just pay what I pay these days, but originally it was meant to be 10 percent on only luxuries if you will.
