yes but i just found out that not all games will be able to do it link below

also another thing i found out when i went through it was when u data transfer saves between 2 system via a usb cable it transfers the protected games but on the system that you just transferred from it deletes the protected saves

i have 2 working ps3s and i wanted to use my old one as a back up but unfortunately only the system that ur transferring to gets to keep the protected saves which was retarded

i believe the cloud system is arriving b/c most games will have protected saves from now on b/c of all the game save hacks if you cant get the save on usb to transfer it to a PC then you cant hack

i dont understand u had one died in 09 but this one that died now is from 07 did you have 2 ps3s?

I bought mine 2007 June. Sent it in and got another 60GB for free on Feb 2009. This one died today, Feb 2011. (See the pattern ^^?) So I had 1, gave it in got another, and now imma do the same thing but ask for a slim. In Sweden we have the right to complain for up to 5 years on electronic devices that have broken without it being the consumers fault tehehehe.

Two years ago it might have been due to poor port? I was playing Demons Souls and the screen started to freeze at some point.  It had never happened before. 4 months later I got YLOD. I got the console repaired locally and didnt lose game saves.

i got a 60gb in 2007 too

it has always froze in some games and can be noisy but it hasn't gone yet,no doubt it will but maybe i might be lucky as i'm not a rich boy

can you get ylod repaired then at the non sony repair man,

hey man congrats for the slim, im on my 3rd ps3 too :D

My first 60gb was stolen, then I got another 60gb which died 3-4 weeks ago and now I have a 320gb slim

Most repairs are temporarly from what I know. Anyway, cant wait for my beastly slim :3
