Forums - Nintendo - Tales of Graces (F?) on Wii still a possiblity...you guys better beg

@everyone  ok i didnt know if they fixed it or not. Im not that big of a Tales fan. So yeah, they should do both in that case, no reason not too.

@rccetzer  why spend extra time and money on a 360 port??? its not like it will sell better than the PS3 version or even Wii version.  All they have to do is localize for PS3 and Wii since those already exist and send it on over. 360 owners wanna play it. buy PS3 or Wii

Or if it's using a similar engine as Vesperia, then porting won't be that hard.

I just did it for the sake of it, but having devs telling me  that "if you want this game you need to beg for it", just isn't right.

they have to convince me they are releasing a good product where I'll sink my money, if not, I've got other choices, thank you.

I hope it's for both PS3/Wii so the Wii userbase can experience this game as well. If Namco just release this on PS3, there is no other option as the Graces fan translation has officially been canned. They cancelled it as of Feb 2nd but will continue with Vesperia.

Approximately one week ago, Namco released a teaser website that hinted at the release of Tales of Graces f, for the PS3. Since then, the team has been having many heated discussions over the state of our translation. As of Feb 2nd, Tales of Graces was officially revealed, though no details or dates have been announced yet.

It is our decision at this time that we intend to drop the translation of Tales of Graces, both the Wii and the PS3 version. We are sad that literally thousands of hours of work will be lost, but we are agreed in that we all want to see Tales of Graces succeed here. The better it sells, the more Tales games Namco will bring over in the future, and the less fan translations will even be needed. We all feel that Namco's latest Tales translations have been of good quality, and we would like to support it as much as we can.

So, to make this clear.

We respect Namco's right to their own game and translation.

We are not releasing any of our translations.

We will not be releasing our private tools.

Any currently released files will remain available.

We will be continuing Tales of Vesperia.

Well that's the end of that chapter. Now I'm stuck with a Japanese copy of Tales of Graces that I won't ever be able to play unless I learn to read moonrune. I doubt I'll be able to sell the game again to, what with the announcement that it's coming to America. *sigh*

If this doesn't come to Wii I am going to be extremely angry. I'll buy the game again, if it's released on Wii, I've already invested so much energy into this title I may as well go all the way to play it, but if it is PS3 alone I will not be pleased in the slightest, because I will be left with nothing.

For fuck sake. Why do I even bother to pursue this franchise. I just always end up frustrated and upset.

How technical is your game?

Well, i dont have a 360, but i always heard that porting to it is much easier and less costly than the other way around (360 to PS3). Don't know if Vesperia 360 community will be pissed of. Maybe not, because they already have a "Tales of" on their console of choice. One thing we all know: Tales of Xilia is PS3 only.

Buy a PS3. It is worth it. Don't forget that Tales of Xilia is already there. No signs of a Wii version.

In this case, it was just the thread title, not Namco, or else I would have posted something a lot more negative about them earlier.

Beg? Bite me.

Earn my dollar. I have plenty of other places I can spend it if Namco doesn't want it.
