Happens sometimes no worries, hold down the power button on the PS3 and wait for it to beep twice let go and turn it back on. What that does is basically a resets the system and it should fix the problem. But make sure the controller is plugged in to the USB when you turn it back on.

If that doesn't work then I failed haha, it worked for me before so heres to hoping it helps you. BTW you can also use that trick if you're switching from HDMI to composite or component or vice versa.

Oh haha I did fail I meant you're supposed to hold the power button down when turning it on not off. Lol see if that works, but wait for the second beep.

Not a lot I can help you with, but search for "ps3 controller sync problems", this is not the first tme I hear of this stuff happening.

This happens to me often.

I usually plug the controller into the PS3, turn off the PS3, turn on the PS3, and then turn it off again while letting the controller completely charge.  By the time the controller is completely charged, it usually finds some way to unfuck itself.

lmao okay ill try that

It did that once to me a long time ago. I just turned it off and on again and it has worked fine ever since.

I can't help you, but I once had a controller that refused to charge.

It worked completely fine besides that.  So I just used it until it died and then it never turned on again lol.
