Forums - General Discussion - Who reads webcomics?

As some of you may know, I'm working on a long-form webcomic that I'm going to roll out next week in earnest. But I'm curious: what comics do you guys read, if any? What kind of comics? How frequently?

Last night I awoke with an idea that has been cracking me up all day and I'm thinking of adding a second strip-style comic to the site in a month or so... it's a talking animal strip because I FREAKING HATE TALKING ANIMALS. So, I'm working on an idea that puts a variety of talking animals into a rather grim situation and makes fun of the genre. I don't want to get into details yet because the idea is just coming together but I've passed it on to a few friends who immediately started laughing at just how wrong the concept is as a whole.

But I digress... what comics do you read and why?

Around the Network

I read Penny Arcade and xkcd every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Maybe about once a month I'll read VGCatz hoping that it actually updated and it's actually funny and about once a week I'l read Nerf NOW!!

I like to read a few xkcd every now and again.

It's just simple in format, but clever in jokes, so I like it.

Yeah, I follow PA and xkcd, as well.

That Nerf NOW comic looks pretty good. I'll have to read more of it.

Penny Arcade. Cyanide & Happiness. Rooster Teeth. But I only read Rooster Teeth consistently.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Cyanide & Happiness and Scandinavia & the World. (The more recent comics aren't so great, though.)

Do Manga count, too?

updated: 14.01.2012

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

I always read those that are in the Joystiq Weekly Webcomic Wrapup.

Manga is nothing more than a Japanese word for comic books/strips. It'd be like someone saying Sol and someone else arguing that Sun means something different.

So, yeah, it counts.
