Next week TLS will be between 30k-40k. Expect a big drop.

TLS sold the 90% of its total shipments (according to famitsu, the game shipped 126k during its first four days) so it can still have a little chance of having good legs if the new shipment is bigger.

Actually, we don't know if the second shipment was already done before the week was over. The first day shipment was 126k, but according to some people there was a second shipment made the following day, which if true, means that the game was not sold out at any point of the week. Of course, those reporting a second shipment were the same reporting that the first shipment was sold out the first day. So I will reserve my judgement until we see next week's sales.

Looks like this is the last time TLS makes it into the news as well, too bad there's no confirmation or even hint at a localization.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

well, a second week of 30-40k(~65-70% drop) would be quite good legs compared to other jrpgs in japan - most of them seem to see a 80plus% drop in 2nd week

just get some first days sales plus first week shipment data in 2ch

TLS shipped around 125000

Dream Club Zero shipped around 33000

GAL GUN shipped around 12000

Technically those should be first day shipments, if any of those games received further shipments later in the week then first week shipments will be higher.

no it's not first day

i asked,or you can say first round

WTF is that? ^^

It's a Manga

No it isn't. It's a light novel that was adapted into an anime. This anime is popular, but it's DVD and BluRay sales weren't very high. The very high sales of the game are even more surprising consider that.

Regardless, neither the Wii nor PS3 are moving much hardware in Japan. Even with very little in the way of releases full stop, the Wii is still not tracking very far behind the PS3. It's quite a depressing situation all round for home consoles in Japan.

That's more like it.

The home console war is the least interesting thing about these threads.

Spin it one way or another, and yes, all consoles are not doing well in Japan. Regardless of that, the Wii's performance there is pretty disappointing lately outside of the big first party titles which sell very well (most recently Donkey Kong and before that, NSMB Wii)

I guess we are both ignorant because there's also a manga, not just anime.

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

120k is good for only 3 days of sale and for a new IP. Should have good legs and should have sold much better worldwide.

Every game that releases has only few day of sales in it's first week.

Haha. You know a game flopped when people start making that excuse. :P

Every Friday morning Famitsu releases numbers for new releases including sell though % , that's what these numbers are. 99% they are first day numbers, except for when a game releases earlier than Thursday, then they are total sales through Thursday. You can even see the date of the Famitsu release is 11am Friday 28th.

We used to get these leaked every week, but Famitsu stopped that and we don't see them too often anymore.

the percentage represents the amount of the copies sold in the first day compared with the whole shipments of the period (the 4 days ships). Or at least that´s how I interpreted.
