Rare was great in the 90s but, after being sold to Microsoft, it couldn't keep many of its key personnel and it released several below average titles. As such, the Rare I used to like doesn't exists anymore, despite the fact there is a Microsoft's subsidiary using its name and some of the old Rare's talents.

Including its old Lead Designer who is now its CEO.

Are you talking of Gregg Mayles (creative director not CEO of RARE)? Although I give him credit for Banjo in the N64, it is clear now that, alone by himself, his series went to a pretty low point in the 360.

Voice their opinions...psh, when did people get the right to do such a blasphemous thing?

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

No and to be fair everything that RARE did in the past has been outdone by others .... well except Conker's Fur Quest I haven't seen a game like that in a good time.

Although I was really young at the time I do prefer Rare back when they were good and released games like Banjo & Kazooie and Goldeneye etc...   Then again I do wish alot of games companies would go back to their roots.

I don't see all the hate on banjo-kazooie nuts and bolts. Its was a good game. Rare's old games are far more memorable, but you can say that about lots of publishers. Nintendo's past games were far more memorable then this gen IMO. Their games are still great, just a bit lacking compared to previous generations. Same goes for capcom, square, etc.

yes

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts is one of the purest next gen experiences to be released this gen.  It proved that Rare has the chops to take chances now and, creatively at least, it paid off for the most part.

The Bravest Game, Mistakenly Neglected

Sad that many gamers couldn't see that, but oh well.

No.  The new Donkey Kong Country and GoldenEye games are great without them.

I miss what Rare was, but now only the Rare name exists (most of the employees form their glory days are now gone).  It's kind of like when the New Chevy Nova was released and Chevy acted like it was still a Nova.

I have no problem with people voicing their opinions. The fact that I dont like is there is 3 threads going around atm that are defaming Rare.

This is trolling. All started by the same guy as well.
