Err, the wording of that article was confusing - I think it meant 7.2m in 2011, which, whilst unlikely, is still possible.

Don't see why you're insulting Sony and crying so much about it, though.

no it was clearly written as 7.6 million throught 2011, and i am saying that because of how bad move is doing compared to the kinect, it isnt even close, yet that article would make someone think they are close and doing comparable

What does "through" imply? I mean, that article was actually praising Kinect, and even mentioned the 5m expectation coming true, so surely they weren't suggesting 2.6m for the entire year. If they were, they wouldn't put Kinect in a good light at all, as they did.

Still, why are you making fun of Sony? It had nothing to do with this. Just stick to making fun of the site.

no, it was meant as 7.6 million would be its sell through all the way through 2011, and it says right in the article that move will sell 7.3 million making the kinect only marginally selling better, when we ALL know that is far from the truth, the kinect is outselling the move 5 to 1, so that is why i think sony had them write the article- to make the move seem more appealing, as i seen this aricle everwhere that was gaming related

[UPDATE]: A Screen Digest analyst has contacted GameSpot to clarify the firm's forecasts. The 7.6 million Kinect and 7.3 million Move-enabled PS3 numbers represent new sales in 2011 only, and do not include either peripheral's 2010 installed base.

Either way it looks like they are biased towards the move it seems. Kinect is grossly outselling the move, and to think it would be that close. Remember they didn't say Move sales, they say Move enabled ps3s.

yep exactly. move enabled ps3's which makes this article even more laughable, and the fact that EVERY major gaming site had this article up, it questions WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!

Well it was analyst from Screen Digest. In video game industry we give analysts too much credit.

That's not the problem, but the way you 'tell'' it and your behavior is.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
