3DS advertising in Japanese shopping centers: "The wall of 3DS"

Damn, I want demo units in my region, too!

I got to try out the 3DS today! There was a World Hobby Fair event in my city today and several games were playable, though there were massive lines for the the Nintendo ones (Zelda, Kid Icarus, Nintendogs and AR games), so I didn't play those.

They also had those stations like above so you could see previews of the games in action (in 3D).

I was at Yamada denki today, but still no signs of the 3DS, not even pamphlets. :/

Here was the Zelda area (and the 2.5 hr max wait to play it!):

The only 3DS game I played was Asphalt 3D from Konami (at the Konami booth) as that was the shortest line (20min) when I went into it though it got up to about 45min later, from what I saw. They also had Winning Eleven 3DS and Pro Baseball Spirits 3D available to try.

It looks like a convention center not a shopping center. Man I'd love to see events like these in Canadian stores (Smaller of course) but I would love to get my hands on it before launch. Unfortunetly I don't think it'll happen!

So, do you dig the 3D effect?

Nintendo got Arashi to pimp 3DS hardcore. I guess it's not too different from some of their EU advertising techniques. Get super popular celebs to play/hold their handheld.
