Forums - Nintendo - Amazon UK selling 3DS for £202?!?

Do my eyes deceive me or has Amazon UK lowered the price for the 3DS to £202?

That's nearly £20 less than what Game and HMV have it priced at!

I'm glad I got my pre order in early with these guys.

Does their pre-order guarantee mean that you will be charged this price (if it's the lowest), or will you be charged the price on launch day?

In the past when I have pre-ordered stuff it has said that I should be charged whatever the lowest price has been, not launch day price.

But I'm looking at my order now and the price is still £217...

I'm wondering if this is going to be a glitch in the system or something. :/

"when you pre-order selected books, CDs, videos, DVDs, pieces of software or video games, you will be charged the lowest price offered by Amazon.co.uk between the time the order was placed and the item's release date."

That price.

They'll charge you the £217 and then refund you whatever the difference between that and the lowest price ends up being automatically.

I would think that If they change your order's price, it would be on the last day when all the data is in, no? As far as its being a glitch, I doubt it, maybe pre-orders have fallen too low to their liking or they are duplicating some other vendor's special offer. But I recommend a you take a screen shot just in case so you can argue with them that they should honor their guarantee in case they don't

Thanks for all the advice guys.

I'll wait and see what happens with Amazon. I actually have the 3DS also pre ordered at shopto for £199 and I keep checking to see if Game Gears has any more in stock because they were selling them for £195. Not that I want more than one 3DS, I'm just trying to get it for the cheapest price and it doesn't cost to pre order!

Amazon would be the best though because I use them so often and I know they're usually reliable.

Game Gears seems dodgy (talking reliability) and I'm pretty sure they will not have the stock, especially in the case of the Red 3DS pre-orders, what with there not being a Red 3DS.

Shopto I've used in the past but I think someone said somewhere for Wii pre-orders they just did lotto picks amongst all pre-orderers, first comers didn't get priority.

Comet did the same thing.  I pre-ordered my Wii with them, but it wasn't certain I was getting one until the day before launch.  Fortunately I was lucky and got mine.

It's still £202...

Should I cancel my pre-order at Gamestation and get one?
