I already expressed my disappointment in Nolan's, Garfield's, and Shutter Island's snubs in another thread. I'm emotionally drained right now.

Not even one nomination for Scott Pilgrim vs the world... This disappoints me!

Oh, well if it makes you feel any better, neither of the would've won anyway. It's sad though that poor Nolan was snubbed. They must really hate him (excluding his nominations for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay of course ).

Well, the movie wasn't really all that.

Then again, the same applies to most movies today.

true grit and the social network were my favorite movies this year.  I want to see the Kings Speech so i can compare.

I think Nolan isn't nominated because some people think his movies feel bloated and needs better editing.

He should have been nominated for the dark knight and memento 

Even though Tron wasn't the bee's knees, I would have liked to see some nominations for Best Original Score and Visual Effects. Oh well.

And yes, poor Nolan.

Also, very happy to see Hailee Steinfeld nominated. She was fantastic in True Grit. ^_^

Out of the Best Picture noms, I've seen The Fighter (just saw it yesterday, Christian Bale was awesome), Inception (favorite movie of the year), The Social Network (solid movie all around. Hammer was great), Toy Story 3 (second favorite movie of 2010), and True Grit (another super solid movie. Hailee and Jeff were great).

Mel Gibson wasn't nominated for best phone call recording? WTF?

Why is he poor?

Inception got the nom for screenplay, visuals, sound...you know the good things about it. Nolan pretty much had the camera on auto pilot shake cam the entire movie.

Hey, I didn't say Poor Wally Pfister, who was nominated for Cinematography for Inception.

I thought Nolan did a great Directing job in the film, the camera is just one part of it.
