Forums - Nintendo - Arc Rise Fantasia, how is it?

I am considering buying this one; but with the 3DS just two months away, I might want to buy an extra 3DS game rather than this one.

I have been looking at reviews and such, but they're not answering my questions. Just trying to justify their wide range of scores from 50% to 100%.

My questions:

* How interesting are the towns?
* Is there much to do in those towns?
* Is there grinding? If so, how much would I expect?
* What about work size, is the world too big? I find this to be a major problem with RPGs lately, big sparse environments with nothing to do except fight.

I won't ask about characters, people seem to have vastly differing opinions on characters in RPGs than I do.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

well i find some towns have interesting things to do while other are pretty boring. Like one town has a tournament and a casino. and their are guild quests. but thats about all you'll get outta towns. To me theres a need to grind lol, because the difficulty seemed to spiked at certain points but its not impossible to do without much level grinding. I think the world is a nice size but theres to many damn trees. but besides towns dungeons and rare monsters i didnt see anything else really interesting with the world i guess im not done yet though. ill just tell you that the characters are okay lol.

The game is decent. The world has a decent scale to it though as the guy above me said too many damn trees. It has a proper world map btw. Combat system is great once you get to grips with it, its pretty deep.

For the love of god, if you play this game, mod your wii and play the undub you'll enjoy it so much more.

I have just started it, and though it's graphics are very disappointing (I'm not a graphicwhore, I just wished they were soft and crisp as ToS:DotNW) I had a very decent time in my first couple of hours with it. It seems very promising.

Go ask him!!

I played it for about three hours and I think it is a decent effort in all aspects, except for the voice acting, which is rather weak. That said, I gave up playing it because it definitely requires grinding, something I have no patience to cope with.

This.

The voice acting gets better, in that it gets more bearable. The gameplay is where the game succeeds. You'll need to grind against some of the bosses. Learn to master the weapons quickly and the magic system. Both will make the boss battles easier. Pretty much, if you like old school RPGs, grind and all, you'll love this game.

How is it?

Not in Europe. That's about all I know

PLEASE SOMEONE BRING THIS TO THE EU!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
