9 is one of the rare Tim Burton movie I haven't seen! I'll watch it soon 'cause you hyped me!!

I can understand people not liking Alice in Wonderland but I think everybody should at least try to see it!

Typically I like Tim Burton films. He seems to bring to life a lot of the weirdness I have in my head but can never express so it's good to see those bizarre thoughts and creation come to fruition. Really the only one I was disappointed with was the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie just because I compared it to the classic that is a childhood highlight for me. I had an unfair bias going into that movie.

I hope you enjoy 9. I know a lot of poeple didn't like it because it's animated and it took on more mature themes, but that's what made it stand out for me.

Yup Tim Burton's style is definitely crossing mine. Whether it's Edward Scissorhand or Sweeney Todd or even Mars Attack! (lol!), I find him remarkable. I loved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory myself but then again I haven't seen the original one and I basically love every movie I see lol

People say I don't have a good taste in movies but oh well!

OMG how can you not have seen Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory??? Go see it now and 9 they are both much better than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Alice combined lol

... and in other news, True Grit was nominated for 10 Oscars.

... and in even other news, something that wasn't a remake was actually nominated for something.

Oh, the creativity of Hollywood these days.

I can't remember how many times I've said that out loud to people.

Yeah,  Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is one of my all time favorite movies.  The Charlie and the Chococlate Factory  movie was abysmal in comparison.

Alice in Wonderland might be my least favorite Burton movie to date. It did absolutely nothing for me.

I'm sorry but as for visual effects thats a NO NO! the effects in the movie sucked monkey balls

I personally thought Big Fish (and everyone who likes it for that matter) was too full of itself.

It's also important to note that Johnny Depp was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role as The Mad Hatter.

How did I know you'd be the thread creator when I read the title of the thread?

I still haven't had the chance to see this unfortunately. Heck, it took me a good 6 months to finally see Inception. I've only seen like 3 movies this year. I've gotta catch up after uni is done!

I'd keep it that way and see as less movies as possible. Most of the releases this year were mundane, overdone pieces of shit. Comedy in particular. Alice in Wonderland, Inception and maybe Iron Man 2 are the movies I'd recommend. Everything I've seen in the cinema besides, have been absolutely abysmal.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

That movie was directed by David Fyncher, not Tim Burton.
