Forums - Gaming - Tales of Graces F all but confirmed for the West

If it is Graces F (very much looks like it) I honestly doubt there will be a Wii version.

where are those numbers coming from. vgchartz numbers say vesperia did over 200,000 in america.

I made a mistake. I was looking at Ten Week totals versus overall. So It's actually 261k and 194k for Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World. So technically disregard my post and 360 is the most proved platform sales wise lol - but I doubt they would work on a port to the 360 at this point.

In NPD, ToV standard edition did 137,473. Limited edition did 6988. Total: 144,461. DotNW did 138,096.

ToV only did very slightly better because of the extra limited edition.

but doesnt vgchartz cover more areas than the npd that might be why its over 200,000 idk seems weird for them to be off by that much and to not correct it.

Lets hope so, i only have a PS3 so i'm hoping they dont release it exclusively for WIi, releasing on both consoles would be ideal for both users though. Tales of Graces did do better on the PS3 in Japan, and FF13 may have emboldened them to release here, so i'm hopeful.

however from what i've read about Namco, i'm not getting my hopes up!

I doubt either sold all that much elsewhere...

Also not all numbers are updated.

maybe but vesperia for the 360's sales have been increasing from what i have observed of it so it has been updated.

I can see it now.  Namco will announce Graces for Wii, and only for Wii.  They will then announce Xillia for PS3 in a year.  Gotta split up that fanbase as much as possible, ya know.

Of course, logic would imply they'd release all three Tales games on a single platform to try and consolidate that fanbase and maxmize sales.  Probably on the console that already sold a fuckton of a certain other JRPG in the West.  But while that is what logic may imply, this is Namco.  They do not know logic.

Just kidding.  That probably won't happen.  I hope.

Well I personally hope it's realeased on Wii because for one, Wii needs the quality third party titles far more than the PS3, and two, I don't own a PS3 and don't plan to buy one just for this game.

that realy egocentrict, they need to release the games  both on wii and ps3

i want my jrpg

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this a localization and this is pretty much my reaction to this recent news http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcXKYhGxpso

Would be even better though if it Was Vesperia PS3 and the video would be more relevant too :D

Agreed, a release for both consoles should be made to maximise the sales potential. however imho (i only have a PS3, not being egocentric), but the Wii is not mainstream enough for this type of game in west. even in Japan it sold more on the PS3 despite being released a year after the Wii version.

and JRPG gamers in the west are on the PS3 and 360. the other thing is being exclusive gets some hype from places like ign, magazines, etc.

by the way does anyone know when we find out if this the rumours are true??
