Splinter Cell trilogy would be great.

It's coming, but for some reason exclusive to PS3, or last I heard anyway :/
|
I know and I'll buy it. But I prefer to play my games on my Xbox 360.

I think some money is being exchanged somewhere, the remakes from Ubisoft are staying exclusive to PS platform despite their past on the Xbox platform, a bit odd if anything.

Chaos Theory is already availabble as a Xbox Originals download (as is Jade Empire btw!)

Right but this isn't the same thing (as I am sure you are aware). I do find it strange that 360 isnt sharing some of these collections, particularly POP and Splinter Cell.
Yes both consoles (has to be bc version for PS3) can play last gen games, and both consoles have some downloadable games from last gen on the psn, marketplace respectively. But only the PS3 is re-making these games to a degree that far surpasses simple upconversion and adding trophies. TROPHIES!
I know you all know this, but that is huge. Then they are taking 2 or sometimes 3 different games from last gen and bundling all 3 on one disc.
And yes in this case Blu-Ray does matter when it comes to disc pressing, packaging and disc price. But I dont think it matters enough for Microsoft to care. Make the Splinter Cell collection for xbox and put it on the required 2 discs or however many it takes.
The probable reasoning behind why there arent multiplat versions of these new trophy enabled re-made ports is because Sony entered into a contractual agreement with these 3rd party companies.
Plus Sony probably says, " hey look if you make this game, we will press the discs and put it on the psn to sell as digital downloads.
I am suprised more people are not aware of these collections (even if there are only around 5 of them so far) because as the situation stands now, they seem to be kind of a big selling point for the PS3. (at least in my opinion)
.. sorry for the long winded post.
