I think it is possible based on 3 things

1. If it really is the last Gears game. If it is then the sales won't get cut off in say 2 years time by another one when that gets released.

2. Advertising and reviews. If it goes out with a bang and gets lots of exposure and great reviews then it will obviously get more people to buy it.

3. How many years left until the new 360. If we have another 5 years or so then it has plenty of time to get to that number. I imagine eventually it will get bundled too.

Personally i don't think it will reach 10m before the next gen. But i think it will be close. This year in terms of true AAA games (a game that has sold over 5m copies) there is nothing to compete with it. Unless a COD game gets announced. The last one sold about 2m first week if i remember right. If there is no COD game and Gears is the only fps game out in the holidays it could go on to massive early sales. So who knows.

Nope. The game will sell higher than it has before though being that its the last exclusive of the big two on the Xbox. Xbox only owners need to cherish this, because it comes to exclusives this will be a lonely year (So far).

I think it should finish with around 7 - 8 Million lifetime.
