Forums - Sony - I Guess Little Big Planet Really isnt that Big?

the games been out for like two days, atleast give it a week before judging, from the 50 friends I have 8 were playing  when I was on and another 5 messeged me that they would get it around the(my anecdotal evidence) besides everyone might not be connected to the internet, i was off all day today(well yesterday) playing with my sister and a friend.

also I got ME2, so my attention has been diverted a little, lol.

no time at the moment sadly :( got exams...after next week I'll get it

and I wouldn't say no hype at all actually, we had a lot of threads about it around last week, it has died down a bit but yea, the game is off to a great start

Sony has started off the year AMAZINGLY I might add. Perfect mix too, DCUO, LBP2 and ME2 and KZ3 coming next month. Something for everyone

LBP2 isn't a blockbuster game like Call of Duty or anything like that. Huge amounts of hype are not accumulated for it upon release, and people aren't going to rush out to buy it upon it's release. LBP2 is the kind of game that sells over time; it IS big, it just isn't big in the Call of Duty sense.

LBP2 is HUGE!

I don't know what your talking about, the podcasts are a buzz with LBP talk, the Official Neogaf thread has about 1500 posts on it and it hasn't even been released in all regions, the reviews have been pretty stellar and it looks like it's going to have a much larger sales opening than it's predecessor.

I'm also guessing that the 4 million people that bought Uncharted 2 or God of War 3, aren't going to be a part of the same 4 million people who bought 4 million copies of the first Little Big Planet, one audience is more Internet focused and the other is a little bit more casual. Internet hype has never been a great indicator of how important a game is at launch, Alan Wake had heaps of Internet hype and it sold badly, while Just Dance 2 had pretty much no Internet hype and it's sold phenomenally.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

This game deserves to be in everyones ps3. Its simply amazing, ive been playing it nonstop since i got it yesterday.. And the topdown view zombie shooters, rpg's, car racing and movies that people create are simply mindblowing, there really is no limit at all this time. You can even create pool.

And that theres few people playing is bull, theres always like 200 people on each of the popular levels, no problem whatsoever to get in a party, and this time around there is no lag.

i bought this game yesterday and it amazing

LBP is a pretty casual game, and casual gamers rarely spend their time on forums

I am going to wait until I have more time, my list of games to play is already huge:

Mirror's Edge
F1 2010
NfS Hot Pursuit
Fallout 3
Fallout New Vegas
GT 5
FIFA

and lots more, and while LBP can do most of those.... I think I will wait until I have more time.

You also have to remember that the game, like a nice wine, will mature with age as more levels come out and my need to play it is not as pressing as something like Killzone 3

i actually think a lot of hardcore players have started playing lbp 2 this is my first everyone game after forza 3 and gt 5 me and my friends usauly play cod, gta, halo, killzone but now we're hooked on to lbp 2!
