400x240 res is for each eye. Think of the top screen as 2 screens. Each screen for each eye.

So, that means the 3DS really have 3 screens, LOL.

Physically screen is 800x240, appearing as 400x240 per eye 'interlaced' vertically. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yup, it's impossible to display 800x240 in 2D since you would need a really long screen for that.

3D on, volume off (or headphones only), brightness medium, and WiFi off (except when playing/browsing online) should make for a more comfortable experience

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

good news on all fronts very good news.

Just good news, the price is fine for me, life battery sounds a lot better now, great games, amazing online (You can add up to 100 friends on your list!)... SOLD... I made my preorder yesterday, so happy I did...

For people complaining about the price, I live in Costa Rica, I went to a local videogame shop yesterday, they doesnt know the price yet, but they were almost sure that it will be around $400-$500... Thats expensive...

3 and a half hours to charge for a 3 - 5 hour life span? God that's horrible -.-

Good news all around, but there are still too many variables not accounted for with battery life that I need to know before saying whether it's acceptable or not.

The battery life seems to be in an acceptable range.

2 Hours to charge with a 7 - 8 hour battery sound more acceptable to me.

So this thread is now almost two hours old, but nobody of the really seriously concerned people (regarding battery life) has shown up yet. What gives?

On a related note, I haven't heard anything new from Sebastian Kramer either. Just a few days ago he was happy to bash the 3DS, where is he now?

Does any PSP model achieve that feat? Any model of the DS needs three to four hours to charge, but I am not familiar with all the PSP models, that's why I ask.

I'm not sure of the specifics but I know my PSP doesn't take long to charge at all and it lasts a good while. At least 6
