You got that wrong , when you use the code you will be able to run the game on that ps3 forever, even if you spend all the codes afterward.

If you go through 5 PS3s (some people here on VGChartz have had to go through 5 PS3s because of faulty hardware) then that game will not work anymore on your new, 6th, PS3... and you'll have to buy a new one (a new copy of that game).

so in short cd keys like in pc... but they are burned on the disc and stelthly loaded to psn....

 

sounds like a fanboy made solution... this prevents online access but in no way piracy....

Though I think the better question is, where are the Sony defenders who said it was a good idea for Sony to "do what it takes to stop the hackers"?

well every PS3 game I bought has been new...so doesn't effect me much, though it will hurt my local gamestores.

I hope so... and I also hope that I won't have to access PS Store to enter the code because there's no PS Store in Argentina and that would mean I'll have to switch to my "fake" US PSN account to enter the code and get all my trophies again in that account (all the trophies I've gotten up to now T_T)

Meh, whatever... I'll start worrying about this if it ever gets to be officially announced or something like that.

This is ridiculous. Sony (allegedly) wants to destroy used sales of ps3 games in the name of stopping piracy. If true, the lines between console and pc keep getting blurrier.
