Forums - Nintendo - The big suprise was not present!

Everyone knows that last week Jonathon Ross made comments about unexpected revivals on the 3DS to be unvieled at todays press conference. Talk of this big suprise spread viral all over the internet. However the conference has just come to an end and the only suprises are Universal friend codes and Channel Live. Infact the price was barely announced with NoE saying that the retailers will set the price. NoA confirms the launch price of 249.99$ and the release date of March 27th two days after Europe gets it.

I guess we have to hope that Nintendo of America revealed some big secret at their twin conference. Did anybody notice a big suprise or revival that I didn't? Infact most of the news was old but the few new tid bits were worth the press conference!

No idea, maybe we have to wait till e3. Similar to how some companies pull announcements last minute for e3.

I was under the impression that the hadn't shown anything new either, but I got it already started, when the watered down George Clooney was talking about 3DS online capabilities.

The Big surprise was the virtual console.  It explains both the unexpected revivals thing as well as the metroid comment.

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

I thought the big suprise was the announcement of a Metroid themed level in Dead or Alive, and possibly Samus as a playable character.

Clearly Ross hadn't seen E3 and thought all of the stuff being shown was new

Region lock, battery life, EU and particularly UK overinflated price, dizziness: weren't these surprises enough for you?
