That's why I always bought an underpowered car to those endurances, mainly because to avoid boredom.
The only race where that happened to me was on Tsukuba 9 hours endurance, mainly because it's such a low speed track and you have to do almost 600 laps in it.
Surprisingly, the same thing hasn't happened on Le Mans yet, probably because I love the track and driving around it in a class C race car forces you to be on the edge all the time, especially when driving it with a wheel with Force Feedback set to max XD.
I've yet to see the day-to-night transitions on the nurburgring, though I've already raced it on night. It makes the name "Green hell" have a whole new meaning xD.

. Since my current best time on Le Mans, with my carbon X2010, is 2:06, which is 1,36 times faster than my current best lap time on the 787b, and i'm looking at an overall 380 laps to finish the endurance, you could easily do over 500 laps with the X2010.
