No, never
...
Of course it has. A lineup of games will always have fans who like it, and those who don't. If you don't like it, then fine. Personally, the lineup is K for me, but I love Layton, Paper Mario and Resident Evil, and look forward to playing OoT again, (haven't played it in 7 years!) and Lylat wars for the first time. I'm still not a fan of the 360 lineup really, far, far too many shooters for my liking, which makes the 360 crowd rather narrow-minded, so there doesn't seem to be many games which aren't shooters or M-rated really, which are qualtiy
The Wii may not have as many quality shooters (but with Goldeneye, Conduit 2 under its name it's certainly appealing!) but there's a large bandwidth of games, from shooters to action to racing to strategy to RPG to party, ad this trend looks set to continue (The Last Story, Xenoblade, DQX to bulk out the RPG's, Conduit 2 to add to the exclusive shooters, Legend Of Zelda to ad the the exclusive adventure games and many more!)
The reason for this I feel is due to the lower production costs. Do you reckon if The Last Story was on the 360 it would be as open-ended? Same for FF13 on the Wii. Perhaps it would be more free-roaming, I don't know
Onto the 3DS lineup, this trend is set to continue from last year into this, quality 3rd and 1st party exclusives, and also some of the bigger multiplat games. The Wii will never be seen in the light it deserves, due to its lower processing power, and therefore not so many mulitplat games. But don't take anything away from it. It's the console, in my eyes, which has the widest spectrum of games (both in quality and genres). I expect the 3DS to continue this trend. That's why I think I will get one if the price is right
(Should this have been in my OP?)
