I hope Wii, it will take a while before I purchase a 3DS. |
I also expect it to be either Wii or 3DS, likely 3DS sadly
I don't see it on PS3 after what happened with Tri and with Epic Mickey's sales...

That is just the top 10 selling 3rd party games. That makes a nice 43m sold games, which is quite a success. If you take a look at those titles and compare them to top 10 selling 3rd party games on HD consoles, you can see that 3rd parties aren't stupid or trying to sabotage Nintendo. They just know their audience. |
For once I feel like saying "nice find"
Sadly, you can see the audience which is targeted on the Wii, but still, it's not like the Wii is killing 3rd parties now is it?

I haven't said anything like that, if that is what you meant. I think 3rd parties are doing great on Wii, because they know what they are doing.

I agree, and that isn't what I meant
Nice to see games like GTA, Fallout on the Wii though :/

That is trolling then, or flaming. Mario Kart is not an arcade racer either, things like Burnout, Split-Second, NFS Hot Pursuit...those are arcade racers. Arcade is related to game style, since you obviously missed that in an above post. I've seen Resident Evil Code Veronica in an arcade...is that an arcade survival horror game? |
Uh mocking is not flaming he's just pointing out the issue with your argument with making an equal remark that would upset you, it obviously did.
Also you mean this?

It's like you notice how they completely changed the game to make it an arcade game, it's like saying the entire series of Resident Evil is an arcade series because of Darkside Chronicles and Umbrella Chronicles, both of which could easily be in arcades...
No you're just looking for an invalid reason to dismiss a very valid point when those Mario Kart arcade units are just that, Mario Kart, they didn't change anything about the game to put it in arcades, but no a game that's completely unlike the rest of the series (Gun Survivor 2 Resident Evil: CV) means the main series is arcade like as well...
Hrm lets put a Gran Turismo in an arcade cabinet give it unrealistic physics so it plays more arcade like, oh shit the series isn't a racing sim anymore! But wait we could put Need For Speed in these cabinets, not have to change anything (like Mario Kart), and it fits just fine with the arcade theme!
Ahem I must also repeat since you didn't read earlier or whatever "Racing Party Game" is a nonexistent genre, you simply cannot pull things like that out of your ass and expect anyone to go along with it, but with your track record I really don't think you intended on anyone going along with it.

That is the only Code Veronica in arcade form, you were misinformed if you think otherwise, and still doesn't validate your point.

@conegamer thats kind of the point it would be nice to see those games but thats not where that kind of demograph is. Most Wii owners simply do not care about those kind of games thats why there not made for it. Why should a publisher risk making those games for a small portion of Wii's userbase??? this is buisness, not charity. Plus some forget the elephant in the room, which is the multiplat owner. I would bet my right ass cheek that there are far more of those than the Ninty fanboys, who refuse to buy another console for whatever reason.
It also has Mickey Mouse in it... if it was the same game with a new IP it wouldn't have sold anything.

You know risk vs reward is apart of business too right? After so many developers and a couple of publishers have closed down this gen because of the massive risks, wouldn't you think it might be a little more logical to go for the base with less risk? Honestly I'd like to see an interview with the developers that made Chronicles of Riddick, or studios like Grin, or publishers like Brash, ask them if the risk was worth it...
That's the reason why intelligent people debate for a few more developers/publishers to bring games to the Wii, they don't want to see those people lose their jobs, and they enjoy games... The game industry is nothing without developers and they need to stay in business for the industry to survive, I don't think anyone cares about trying to get every CoD and CoD like game on Wii, they formed their market on PS3 and 360, and it's done well by some developers, those other developers that can't take risks though should probably go else where, PC, Wii, DS, iPhone, and PSP are all better choices that won't leave their company in ruin.
@Silicon
Yeah the entire premise of the game is built around Mickey Mouse, it isn't one of those titles you can take the IP away, they're inherently weaved together, take away one part and it doesn't work as a game... so no it wouldn't have sold anything cause it would have been a retarded game without Mickey haha Warren made the game purposely like that.
