10 TRILLION PS3'S SOLD 2012 CONFIRMED!

Yeah i know my spelling sucks but im dysgraphic so live with it :3

Conegamer - I say that the PS3 will beat the DS next week in Japan  (for hardware sales) Forfeit is control over others avatar for 1 week.

Why did it take this long to get to China anyways? I get that they're still "developing" aka third world (or maybe 2nd world) but still with something like 1.5 billion people its kinda hard to ignore.

Interesting.  Neither PS3 nor 360 are on sale in China currently, right?  They're both 'banne'd or something similar.  If Sony could get PS3/PSP (or more likely PSP2) on sale and MS cannot get 360 to market then worldwide we could easily see a shift back in PS3 favour overall.

With PS2 establishing the brand in outlying territories and PS3 likely to follow on from PS2 towards the end of its life, entry into China would give the PS3 a long lifetime - almost certainly longer than 360 - and potentially tip the worldwide scales firmly in Sony's favour.

Something to watch for sure.  I'm sure MS must be heavily negotiating to sell in China too, though.  They can't have no interest in the market surely.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

This could go two ways.

1. This is a resounding success for the company and everyone including the fanboys can rest easy knowing that Sony has shot back up to number one or at least two.

2. China does what its always has been doing which is produce the same product for a cheaper price but with a terrible build. What does that mean you ask? Well it means they're gonna replicate the designs, remove safety protocols, and manufacture it cheaper. End result; a-lot of wasted money gone down the drain and a PS3 rip-off in the homes of many Chinese citizens.

They either have to go in hard or cut their losses real early if things go south. Lets see what the future holds. Hopefully, it won't turn into a Google-China like fiasco....

Using google public data. China's population is 1,331,460,000 as of 2009.

Just think of all that income sony can make.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

If they buy 1 PS3 for every 10 IPhones they buy then the PS3 will win this gen.

Now wouldn't that be an interesting end to the most fascinating gen thus far?

Well, it won't be easy, considering how strictly policed the video game market is there.

But I think it will pay off if it works out.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

I sure am glad I wasn't born in China now. There's a limit to how many hours a person can play a video game?

Is there a limit to how much a person can eat as well?
