After thinking about it, I believe the number will turn into 3-5 as more titles are announced (or in The Agent's case, revealed....2 years after announcement.....sigh....) But i wouldn't say they are going to be delays unless they say "Fall 2011" and it turns into "Winter 2012" or something like that...


You think they would delay FFXIV? That game is already on the pc, so surely it won't take that long to port it.

I believe they said it was delayed "indefinitely" last time I checked. The online fees have been waived for FFXIV since the game came out because there were so many issues.

So you think the game was cancelled for the ps3?

They said its coming 2011, but if it releases in 2012 then it is a delay. This thread is more like a prediction or guesswork.


No only 1 or 2 titles announced were said to be coming 2011. The rest were only announced with no information on a release date. People just assume they are coming 2011 because they were announced last year.

"1 or 2 games" is releasing in January itslef, at least according to Sony they are.

Almost everything else has slated for release in 2011 in E3 or some other event.


The ones coming January 2011 have release dates. If the release dates move then they are delayed. Also if you look back on some of those announcements or research them you'll find that some of them were just announced . Like Twisted Metal. It was only announced at E3 and David Jaffe said recently he hopes to release it in Fall 2011. Thats not a release date just that he hopes it releases then.

Also Socom 4 got delayed but Zipper never said it will be here in 2011. They just announced it was delayed and we assumed. The Last Guardian never had a coming 2011 or a release date. Same with FF14. When the delay was announced they never mentioned a 2011 release date. They just gave there reasons why it delayed.

 The Last Guardian TGS 2010 trailer has 'coming holiday 2011' at the end of it, so that does at least have a release date of 2011.

 

That has a Japanese release date. Considering Japan get some games over a year before the rest of the world I wouldn't hold your breathe for a 2011 release date in EU or NA

The last guardian is big enough to have a world relese at the same time...Fumito Ueda is pretty well known now

i think Agent,FF Versus,SLY 4 and Twisted Metal will no doubt be delayed untill 2012

Plus to offset an overstuffed calendar Sony would be smart to delay a couple games. Also you forgot to add Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell Trilogy's and MLB The Show 2011. 

Dont forget people Nintendo Microsoft and tons of third party games will be delayed as well. 

Thanks for the upcoming games, and no I am not trying to flamebait. Its just to see how many games get delayed. 

I will be striking the games out at the time of their release.

 I know, but it can still get delayed in Japan until 2012 :P. I think we'll see a worldwide release anyway, in Jan / Feb 2012, but we'll see, there's just too many games on Sony's books atm and they arn't all going to release within the same month lol.

 The Agency is another Sony PC / PS3 MMO slated for a late 2011 release.

Well I don't have any hopes for the Last Guardian releasing this year at all and I also have the feeling that Japan gets that game months before we get it. I also doubt the game will be at E3 this year either. Remember WKC 2 still ain't here and that released last year in Japan.

Really only Twisted Metal and The Last Guardian could be "delayed" into 2012.

 

Infamous, SOCOM, Resistance and Uncharted should be finished in 2011.

Usually just 1 or 2 games get delayed into the next year. This time I peg Twisted Metal and/or Ratchet: All 4 One for a delay to early 2012. Other games could be delayed into a latter part of 2011 but I can't think which or why. 3-5 delays overall.
