This is not helpful. I've played the first two PM games, so I'm not merely being ignorant here.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Nobody knows from which stage of development the pictures and videos were taken from, but I highly doubt that there won't be any partners as that would simplify the battle system way too much (unless they are making major changes to it).

EDIT: They might hold this information back to surprise you with some really cool sidekicks like a goomba, a koopa or even a bob-omb.

There's one in the video. Look closely at bob-omb following Mario.

Yeah it would be so awesome :)

But can you imagine how awesome it would be if they partnered you up with a paragoomba?!

PS: I doubt this game won't have partners, even that abomination Super Paper Mario had them - They were just called pixls - - - - - - - - and rofl I just realized that even SPM had it's own bob-bomb >_< - - - - - - - Though I don't care if they change things up at all, after they "changed things up" in SPM i am totally terrified of the idea :(
